Gemma Cups is a lighthearted, lyrical botanical fantasy. It is named after the female reproductive structures of moss, which capture the male gametophytes (sperm) to create new moss spores. The piece is malleable...the wires can be manipulated and bent so that, if desired, it can appear to be leaning towards a nearby window. It also creates wonderful shadows when lit creatively.
